The past two days, I was able to transform my butterfly dream into an abstract painting. In one corner was a neck, with several sets of orangey butterfly wings sticking out of it. The greater majority of the painting was a huge splash of water. As the butterflies touched the water, they left the neck and stretched into bright pink butterflies, and fluttered their wings underwater as though they were fish. Along one edge and in the water was the dress that appeared in the dream, and in another corner was the equally random pile of cat hair.
In my own opinion, the painting captured the surreal nonsense of the dream perfectly. It even confused my classmates, just like a Salvador Dali painting would. I greatly enjoyed turning my dreams into art and think I'm going to continue doing so whenever I have dreams about butterfly fish.
